Amazon didn’t forget its first model of this innovative gadget and updated it with new features. The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite major change is a feature called Goodreads, which was rumored to be integrated some time ago and it will be featured on both models of Amazon Kindle Paperwhite in the U.S, Canada and Australia. How does Goodreads improve our beloved Kindle? By letting you classify the book collection, share the “shelves” with friends, look for similar recommendations and post excerpts from the book you’re currently reading.
Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Cool New features
The best thing about Goodreads is that it’s also a free service and it will be upgraded in the next weeks, over-the-air. Another cool new addition to the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite will be the parental control feature called FreeTime that makes separate profiles for kids and monitors their reading habits and progress. First generation of Amazon Kindle Paperwhite will also feature Cloud Collection which allows you to sort out your personal book collection. Other great improvements will be the Page Flip with which you can skim through the book so that you don’t lose the page you’re at. Amazon Kindle Paperwhite first and second generation will also come with a dictionary, Wikipedia support and X-ray look-up, a program that shows you contexts and definitions of the words and phrases you chose, adding them to the Vocabulary Builder.
