The makers of the popular birds and pigs mobile game, Rovio, announced that the new incarnation of the Angry Birds franchise will be a complete strategy game with swords, magic, armor and fights. Angry Birds Epic promises to deliver new adventures with a crafting system that allows you to build your own armor and weapons. Last year’s Angry Birds Go, which was a driving game resembling “Mario Kart” is doing pretty well and is on the top 60 of iTunes game list.
The Angry Birds Epic will be an RPG game and it will have a strong narrative, Rovio further reveals in a new teaser video of the game. It looks pretty awesome from what we’ve seen and we can’t wait to spend some time playing it. Rovio also announced that the new Angry Birds Epic will have turn-based combat and we assume it will have some sort of final round boss and a time attack mode. We love it that the players have the possibility to buy weapons, armors and such while playing the game.
Angry Birds Epic- availability
The Angry Birds Epic adventure game is said to be launched in Australia, New Zealand and Canada on iOS this week. Rovio says that they expect it to be available in the App Store very soon, although they mentioned that this will be an early version of the game. Personally, we can’t wait to play it some.
