Reportedly, the iPhone 5S has been scheduled for release in September and the iPad 5 will hit the racks in October.
Users who had been expecting the release of iPhone 6 late this year or early in 2014 will be highly disappointed. As the release date of iPhone 5S has been pushed back to September, it is clear that iPhone 6 will make an appearance near the second half of 2014.
iPad 4 hit the shelves in late 2012 and it is being assumed that iPad 5 will be launched somewhere around October this year; this is going to be a gap of almost 365 days between the launch of iPad 5 and its predecessor.
The iPad mini 2 is not on rumors; its launch date may also be delayed alongside iPad 5. Probably, Apple will organize two different launch events for iPad 5 and iPhone 5S this year. The iPad Mini 2 may be launched alongside iPad 5 after the fall.
The iPhone 5 will feature iOS 6 that can be upgraded to 6.1.3. It will be powered by 1.2 GHz dual core processor. The giant will possess no external card slot as usual, and hold a 1GB RAM and internal memory of 64GB/32GB/16GB. The model will be available in different shades: slate/black, silver/white.
Based on predictions made by the KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPad 5 will be slimmer by 15 percent and lighter by 25 percent than its predecessor.
The delay in launch dates is quite disappointing, but perhaps, Apple is planning something more for fans than what has been expected since the initial announcement of iPhone 5 in September 2012.
