The year of 2013 promises to be yet another great year for apple and their innovators. After the release of the iPhone 5, the iPad 4 and the iPad mini at the end of this year, Apple could have taken some well deserved time off, but they have been continually pushing forward with new devices, and now we have some cool new features that may be available.
Apple’s last great feature that was introduced by and exclusive to Apple products was Siri, the voice activated organizer and encyclopedia. Some experts were starting to say that Apple had perhaps lost its cutting edge innovation and was slowing down. To answer this, Apple recently signed a 350 million dollar deal with AuthenTec, a leading developer in fingerprint technology. The idea is that we may see a iPhone 6 with a display that can only be unlocked by the users index fingerprint, and each phone of course would have a unique finger that unlocked it.
The iPhone 5S is one of the many pieces of tech that Apple plans to unveil late this year. This phone is said to be the cheaper version of the iPhone 5, and may answer needs for a iPhone nano that consumers have been dreaming of since the first iPhone. The iPhone 5S will have plastic case and be a bit heavier and thicker, making it a cheaper unit, but people who, their wise wouldn’t be able to be in the iPhone community could be.
Some of the other pieces of Apple technology coming out late this year are the consumer desktop mac mini, the iPad 5 and the iPad mini 2. Exact specifications of the machines have not been released yet, but we can be sure that Apple will continue to up their ante as they continue to introduce progressive products and features.
