Asus ZenFone 2 is an affordable Android phone that also happens to be stylish and capable of great things. Buy it for either $299 or $199.
The ZenFone 2 line of devices had been announced during CES in Las Vegas way back in January, leaving many smartphone users in great anticipation of the products.
Now, starting tomorrow (May 19th), people will finally be able to buy the products from well known retailers such as Amazon, B&H, Groupon, NewEgg and several other major chains.
The gadget will be available in a variety of popular colors that consumers can chose from – red, black, gray and silver.
Not only that, but there are also two versions of the Asus ZenFone 2 that interested parties can choose from. The main attraction, a 4 GB RAM and 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 processor model with 64 GB of internal storage space, will be available fro $299.
A lesser version, a 2 GB RAM and 1.8GHz Intel Atom Z3560 processor model with 16 GB of internal storage space will be available for $199.
Both models benefit from a 5.5-inch 1080p display that offers a 4G LTE connectivity, a non-removable 3,000mAh Li-Polymer battery with BoostMaster fast-charge technology, two SIM slots, a microSD slot, a 13MP PixelMaster rear cam, 5MP PixelMaster front cam, and Android 5.0 Lollipop with ASUS’ ZenUI skin.
The 18W BoostMaster adapter however is only included with the $299 model and will charge up the phone in about 39 minutes. For the $199 model you will have to buy it separately.
The 13MP rear cam is one of the phone’s best features as Asus took time during their Las Vegas January presentation to show off its capacity for taking better low-light photos than most smartphones, while also being able to take great Super HDR photos.
Both models look like they have some kind of metallic plastic finish with a rounded back and capacitive buttons. Its power button sits up top, while its volume buttons sit on the rear of the device
Asus is not a household name when it comes to smartphone devices, however they’re no strangers to technology as their laptops and PCs are some of the most successful world-wide.
Unless, the ZenFone 2 underperforms severely, one can expect the company to invest even more resources and develop even further within the highly-competitive, ever-evolving market segment.
