Just yesterday after Apple has revealed its current profits in business, Tim Cook, the company’s CEO told the analysts in phone conversation that China is obviously a great market for Apple. Cook believes that Apple as a communication company has great future with the world’s most populated country.
During the briefing with some analysts, Cook made it open that Apple can boast of $5.7billion within some months as revenue from China alone almost the same revenue with the $7.5 billion the company has realized from Asia in general. Revenue from China now takes up to fifteen percent of Apple’s total sales. According to him, China has given the communication company the total revenue of $23.8 billion.
According to a reliable report given in August by HIS, a reputable analysis company, the Apple’s iPhone is found as the number seven in China among other affordable communication devices which are far ahead of the company’s iPhone. The report said that Android leads in the communication league with the total of eighty-one percent followed by Samsung which is 20.8 percent of China’s market. This denies iPhone the possibility of being the market leader in China.
Meanwhile, it is a truism that iPad is more popular in China. And China as a country has the credit of selling almost twenty-seven percent of Smartphone globally more than America which has only sixteen percent to her credit. However, Apple still believes that it will soon improve in the country.
It can still be remembered that Tim Cook went to China in March for an official business meeting with the Chinese government. With regard to that, just a week ago Apple made a public declaration of opening a fresh business store in Beijing. It is believed that the newly opened store is the Apple’s biggest store in the whole of Asia.
To show his optimism about the future of the company in China, Tim Cook sees light at the end of the tunnel with regard to the current progress of the company’s mass supply of its products unlike in October. Therefore, he sees the possibility that iPhone 5 will soon get into the hands Chinese customers.
