Since the launch of Samsung Galaxy S3 most phone experts and consumers have considered S3 as the symbol of excellence in the smartphone market. Hence, when smartphones are launched in the market they are often compared with Galaxy S3 which delivers the best performance. While Research In Motion decided to stay away and focus on their new handsets they have finally come up with the new Blackberry Z10. Blackberry claims that the new handset that they have launched in the market is something that has never been offered before by Blackberry and the fresh ecosystems makes it a strong contender in the growing smartphone business.
In terms of the performance, Blackberry has decided to up the competition and therefore they offer something similar to Samsung Galaxy S3. The new Blackberry Z10 offers 1.5 GHz dual core CPU with 2GB RAM which is very much identical to S3 that offered Snapdragon S4 dual core CPU that also combines with 2GB RAM. However, Samsung still has the edge as it offers another variant where S3 offers much more powerful quad core 1.4 GHz processor with 1GB RAM.
In terms of internal storage, Blackberry Z10 offers 16GB onboard storage but Samsung Galaxy S3 still has the edge with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB onboard memory storage options. In both the cases 64GB microSD card slot is offered for further memory expansion. However, there are differences in terms of design where Blackberry offers a mature and professional look with black matte finish while Samsung Galaxy S3 offers a glossy appearance. While S3 sports 4.8 inch 720 x 1280 resolution Blackberry Z10 offers 4.2 inch display. However, it is the overall ecosystem that matters and Samsung S3 clearly wins the race with Android platform that has massive apps and options compared to Blackberry ecosystem that only sports 70,000 apps. In certain departments Blackberry Z10 outshines Galaxy S3 but Samsung Galaxy S3 still rules the smartphone market fearlessly.
