CES 2013 show and its products are being talked about everywhere. One
sees iPhones and iPads adorning majority of the booths at the show. Car audio
companies, Bluetooth speaker manufacturers and many other companies have
made fortunes selling different accessories for Apple products. Apple seems to
have developed an economy of its own at CES. With more of those accessory
companies for phone and tablet crowding the convention floor, it is getting harder
to grab the attention of the consumer.
iPod and iPhones have now survived for years side by side. It is common to hear
the name of Apple but other brands like Sony and Samsung too are making their
presence felt. Apple is known for making products that carry a long life cycle.
There are immediately next models coming out for the smartphone while an
iPhone remains in the market for at least three or four years. Accessory makers
for Apple products benefit greatly as the value of these products hardly gets
depreciated with time.
Accessory makers are slowly but surely moving towards Samsung products,
although there is still plenty of Apple zealotry to be had. This is a clear indication
that Samsung products too are making their presence felt and maintaining a strong
foothold as Apple. Consumers often get disappointed with apple as its products
aren’t always predictable. Some times those old accessories become useless. For
example, when Apple changes connectors, most of these accessories see their
lifespan coming to an end. There is no way to expect a variety of accessories to
work with different Apple products.
Samsung, one of the leading sellers of Android phones, is already moving towards
more reliable product cycles and phone designs. Therefore, don’t be surprised to
come across a much higher variety of accessories for Samsung products that will
cover tons of people. The sheer amount of Samsung phones in the market means
that there is sure to be an accessory that will work for you.
