The Mobile Animal Crossing, News or No News
The mobile Animal Crossing game was initially scheduled to be released sometime in the first quarter of 2017. However, Nintendo decided to postpone its release until its “next financial year”. It claimed to have decided to do so because of the launch of Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes.
This was also not the first delay in the launch of this mobile game, initially set to launch back in 2016.
Now, the gaming company announced on both its Animal Crossing UK and Nintendo Japan Twitter accounts that it will be releasing information about this “upcoming” title for smart devices.
Those looking to be the first to find out the news can tune in to YouTube and watch a pre-recorded broadcast. This will be streaming on October 24, at 8 p.m. PT or 10 p.m. CST and October 25 at 7 a.m. BST.
The Nintendo Direct event for the mobile Animal Crossing will be taking place on Wednesday, October 25, at 12 p.m GMT and should last 15 minutes. According to the company’s Japanese website post, this will solely include information on Animals Crossing’s smart device application, and nothing else.
This Direct will also not be including any news on the game’s Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo Switch versions.
Based on the company’s previous decision to delay the launch until the next financial year, some are pointing out that this could get released anytime up until March 31, 2018. The Direct event from tomorrow might announce an even sooner launch date, but that remains to be seen.
