Last week, Far Cry 5 became available for sale in a physical format, and already struck a record. It entered the UK sales chart directly on the top position. The game managed to preserve this valuable position even this week, which is a noteworthy achievement.
Far Cry 5 is still on the top position
Far Cry 5 has been one of the most teased video games of the moment. Fans could prepare for its release by watching all sorts of teasers and trailers which spiced up their interest. Therefore, it wasn’t such a big surprise that the game could enter the sales chart right on the top spot. However, during the second week since its release, it remained on the same position.
This is pretty remarkable, and it shows how much of a sensation Far Cry 5 was. Also, there was no other big game that got released during the same period. In this case, there was nothing to obscure its glorious release and to steal the first place from it. However, this list is not devoid of worthy games.
The game remained a sensation even one week after its release
FIFA 18, for instance, came out last year, but it managed to remain in Top 10 even after all this time. Its position fluctuated and, now, it reached the second place. Since it stayed in the top positions for so long, it’s no surprise it now ended up on almost the highest position. We shouldn’t expect it to drop below the tenth position too soon.
Despite this strong competitor, Far Cry 5 managed to preserve its front position. Given this utmost sensation, this game might remain in Top 10 for a long period as well. Apart from FIFA 18, its current competitors include Sea of Thieves on the third spot, which attracted a lot of surprising interest. The fourth and fifth positions are occupied by Forza Motorsport 7, and another gaming sensation, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
