Recently, the tablet world has witnessed some drawbacks. Best Buy CEO declared that tablet sales are not doing very well. This is a sign that the tablet market reached maturity, although it did it surprisingly fast. Basically, those who bought a tablet in the previous period did not plan to upgrade. Truth is that tablet design and functionality stagnated, so there are not so many reasons to change an already functional tablet with another similar one.
Fuhu plans to bring a novel approach in the tablet category with the Fuhu nabi Big Tab HD. The company announced on Tuesday the launch of a special tablet. Fuhu attempts to place its previous experience in children oriented tablets with the new product named Fuhu nabi Big Tab HD. In fact, this is a new tablet line with two different products.
Fuhu introduced the largest two Android tablets. One is a 20 inches device and the second sports a 24 inches display. The specs are not what we could call exciting, but that is not the point. What Fuhu wants to offer is a ‘family tablet’, a devices that will promote socialization among family members. Primarily it aims to achieve the goal through group games.
Fuhu nabi Big Tab HD has decent specs, but nothing more
There are two resolution options, one is a HD+ (1600X900) and the other Is FullHD (1920X1080). The touch screen display supports up to 15 fingers actions in the same time. The whole package is powered by a quad-core Tegra 4 processor and has a 16 GB onboard storage capacity. Such a large device needs to be moved around. Fuhu placed the huge tablet in a very light removable frame with a handle.
The Fuhu nabi Big Tab HD is meant to offer a limited level of mobility. That is why the producer gave the tablet a short-term battery of 1.650mAh just so you can move it around from one room to another. No one will read the latest news on a 24 inches tablet in the subway. If you want your picture on everyone’s feed, go ahead and do it.
Watching movies, playing group games and children oriented apps are the main reason why Fuhu nabi Big Tab HD comes to existence. Engadget argues that it should be appropriate for seniors too, because of its app design.
