Microsoft announced the introduction of a Game Mode on the Windows 10 which will come as part of the Creators Update and should ensure a higher user experience.
After taking a break for the holidays, Microsoft announced new updates. More exactly, the weekend saw more details about the upcoming Creators Update. Since its release back in 2014, Windows 10 saw a series of changes. Whilst some features were removed, more were added.
And now, the operating system will also be getting a new mode. Game Mode details are still somewhat lacking. The new updates were presented on the official Microsoft blog. Its Game Mode included the following specifications. The gaming experience will see an Xbox Live collaboration.
Together with Windows, they will ensure a high 4K gaming experience. Beam broadcasting will come as a built-in feature. And users can play in people generated Arena tournaments.
An Xbox Wire blog post also offered details. According to it, the two will be transforming the gaming experience. They will be making it more social, and also easier.
It should also be better. Some new or updates are set to be released throughout the year. These will target both the software and the hardware. Microsoft set out with a similar, if not the same target.
Still, it is as yet unsure how Game Mode will work. It will only be available for Windows 10. But its game performance maximization details were not offered. At least not yet. However, media reports proposed a number of potential features.
The Game Mode may hold back certain processes and apps. These would be potentially draining services. As such, they could be using too many resources. By holding them back, a user could fine-tune the PC. And as such, the gaming potential could also increase.
The Creatures Update will also see another gaming feature. More exactly, it will be coming with Beam. This later is a broadcast feature available for games. Beam will allow certain user options.
Its main one is the following. Users will be able to stream the gameplay of their games. This can be sent to the Xbox Live or Beam communities.
The Windows 10 Creators Update feature started being hinted at last year. More exactly, as far back as October. Still, users will have to wait a little longer. This Update will be available to all users starting with April.
Insider Previews users will be getting them earlier. They should be able to access them starting with this week.
The Creators Update will not focus solely on gaming. It should introduce a slew of new features. For example, Windows 10 will be introducing a better 4K video support. It will also be coming with better 3D modeling tools.
These will be available as part of the Windows 10 desktop. Still, touchscreen device users will most likely be the most advantaged. Surface-like devices will beneficiate from the added creative tools. The Paint 3D Preview should be such a tool. It will allow users to easily and quickly create 3D objects.
This latest build should also ensure a faster connection. Windows will be adding MyPeople. Through this feature, users should find it easier to share and connect.
Windows 10 Creators Update is expected to be released sometime around Easter 2017.
