
The CEO of General Motors, Mary Barra, has announced that they will test their autonomous cars in Michigan, planning to develop the test cars in the assembly plant located in Orion. They argued that all these projects will start showing results from next year. General Motors has very ambitious purposes, stating that if their goal is to become the center for next-generation mobility, then they need to work hard and achieve their aim.
There is no other statement of reality which could be more emphatic in this business than testing driverless cars rolling off from an assembly line which otherwise would be used to assemble only subcomponents. This new plan follows the signing of the legislation by Governor Rick Snyder which approves the opening of Michigan’s roads for testing self-driving cars.
