Specialists are bound to share the good and bad news regarding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8. For several months now, the public got some Galaxy S8 leaks which seemed to bring only good news. Nevertheless, after people were familiar with the strange placement of the fingerprint reader, bad news started to surface.
An official from Samsung unveiled that the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus will have a display measuring 5.8 inches and 6.2 inches respectively. Samsung decided to cut the bezel sizes from the bottom and from the top of the device to equip the smartphone with this amazing display. The chassis of the two new versions have approximately the same size as the ones for Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7.
Case makers also revealed some information about the upcoming smartphones regarding the dimensions of the phone. All these things were categorized as good news. However, bad news should concern both developers and users. Samsung decided to equip the Galaxy S8 with a battery of 3000 mAh while Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus will sport a 3500 mAh battery.
Fans are disappointed because rumors were claiming that both versions will implement batteries with 250 mAh more than Samsung has recently announced. This represents a significant concern because the well-known chipset Snapdragon and Exynos will be developed to be more power efficient compared to the versions launched last year.
Thus, the displays of the smartphones will quickly consume the battery life. Moreover, experts looked at the devices which were released last year. Samsung Galaxy S7 sports a battery of 3000 mAh and a display of 5.1 inches while Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is equipped with a 5.5-inch display and a battery of 3600 mAh.
If the company wants to achieve success now with the new devices, then it needs to think about new strategies to not disappoint its customers. Fans had requested better batteries every year. Apparently, users may have trouble when unlocking the screen. The unlocking process was split into three stages which also included iris scanning.
Consumers may consider this strategy a little overrated. If you are on the move, it will be difficult for you to use your phone. What is more, unfortunately, RAM remained unchanged, having 4GB while other companies design smartphones with 6GB RAM.
