Currently, Alexa is available on Google Mini, Google Home, ad Max. The company said the smart speaker will be included in various smart speakers including iHome, Altec Lansing, RIVA Audio, Knit Audio, Memorex, and more.
In the following few months, expect Alexa to feature on smart displays including Sony, LG, Lenovo, and JBL, the Google VP of engineering for Alexa Scott Huffman said in a blog post.
Huffman explained that the incoming smart displays will have the smart assistant built in. He is confident Alexa will enable user to achieve more when handling a touch screen.
Alexa will start YouTube videos with a simple voice command, make video calls via Google Duo, spot a specific photo in Google Photos. It can also offer you recommendations based on your preferences and search history.
Google Assistant Coming to a Smart Headphone Near Your
Lenovo’s 8- and 10-inch Smart Display has the built-in assistant and a 10-watt speaker. The two types of Lenovo smart displays which can be used as a picture frames when not in use will retail for $199,99 and $249.99 respectively this summer.
Alexa is already included in the next-gen Android Tv devices like the AirTv Player, Xiaomi, LG U+, and Skyworth. Other companies like Element, Changhong, Hisense, Funai, and Westinghouse said they’d present new devices with the built-in Google assistant.
LG said Alexa will be integrated in a new series of LG TV sets.
Google has also worked with smart headphones’ maker including LG, JB, Jaybord, and Sony to include the smart assistant. These ear pieces will be built to run the Google Asssitant as soon as the users pairs them with their handsets.
The assistant can be accessed with a single touch of an earbud.
