Nonetheless, to everybody’s good fortune, the long – time serial leaker @evleaks (an account that almost never fails in leaking the approximate specs of still unreleased gadgets and devices) managed to provide the tech – interested media with the specifications of the Google smartwatch, the next contender in the world of wearable tech and a fierce competitor to Samsung Galaxy Gear 2, a smartwatch that so far had few rivals on the market.
Google Smartwatch Leaked Specs
First and foremost, the information made available is that Google partnered up with LG, and this means that LG’s partner Nexus will have a few things to work on too, jut as they have previously done in the case of Google’s smartphones. The specs for the smartwatch include a 1.65-inch square color display and a resolution of 280 x 280 pixels, 512 MB of memory and 4 GB of RAM, making this gadget a bit lower on quality than its rival, the Galaxy Gear 2, as everybody noticed the resolution difference, with Galaxy’s 320 x 320 pixel display being a bit more appreciated. While Google aims to have the watch as an added accessory for smartphones and improve the quality of communication, there are still a few blurry things regarding the watch’s looks and, of course, release date. Is Samsung going to fear Google smartwatch? Is Apple (also rumored to have joined the smartwatch competition we already talked about) going to show them all? It is too early to say. The Galaxy Gear wasn’t a big hit and updates and upgrades are still necessary, while the tech – wearers are waiting to be amazed.
