Halo 5: Guardians Will Be Available for XBOX One Consoles in 2015

halo 5 release

So far, Play Station 4 is winning the console selling race and Microsoft does everything necessary to speed things up and gain more and more buying customers for its XBOX One.

A few days ago, Microsoft announced the release of a cheaper series of XBOX One consoles. Today, Microsoft and 343 Industries let the world know that a new installment of the appraised shooting game Halo will be available for the XBOX One console next year.

Is this a coincidence? Probably not, but gaming enthusiasts care very little about the company’s financial strategies. They care only about the game and, in this respect, the news couldn’t be better.

Halo 5: Guardians will be available for XBOX One sometime in fall 2015. There is no official date of its release, but all we know so far is that it will launch on XBOX One. There is no question about it, the Halo franchise is incredibly popular and the game creators hope that the Halo 5: Guardians will be a major hit too.

Bonnie Ross, General Manager at 343 Industries, the creators of the actual Halo series, stated that

Halo isn’t simply a perennial game franchise, it’s a part of the Xbox platform itself. In terms of innovation and ideation, it’s sometimes important to people who might not even play Halo. And of course it’s a passion and an essential experience for two generations of gamers.  So we asked ourselves, how do we begin and where do we go with Halo on Xbox One?”

If you are an avid gamer, you probably saw the Halo 5 teaser revealed during Microsoft’s 2013 E3 press conference, so you probably expect something along the lines of “bigger, better, faster, more.”
While the Halo creators usually don’t disappoint their fan base, you cannot overlook the fact that Microsoft seems to carry a life – and – death battle to win supremacy over Sony. The release of Halo 5: Guardians on XBOX One next year is a crucial step in the tech giant’s path to boost sales and win over larger numbers of fans and customers.
While we don’t have a price tagged to the game just yet, we assume that we will find out more about the release date and the price range of Halo 5: Guardians during the Xbox E3 2014 Media Briefing which takes place on 9 June. But there are more good news where these came from: the GM from 343 Industries also announced that

2015 won’t simply be the year of “Halo 5: Guardians,” it will also be a year that offers us a unique opportunity. The opportunity to invite old friends and new audiences into that universe through the “Halo” television series, launched as a unique collaboration with Steven Spielberg and some of the finest creative minds in the business.  A series that will stand alone, as well as complement and enrich the game experience.  We’ll have more to share on the “Halo” television series as we near its projected fall 2015 release.

Now let’s sum up: we have a new series of XBOX One consoles to come cheaper, one of the most popular games to be released next year and Steven Spielberg’s name associated with the game and its supporting console. These may be winning aces for Microsoft and they might help the company to take the lead in the console market share in the next two years. On the other hand, the players and the entertainment fans will be the most lucky ones: awesome games and TV series, what can you want more?
