Here is some exciting piece of news for owners of the latest HTC One in Taiwan. For the company has now come up with the much desired Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the current flagship device. It was only recently that the said update was launched for the dual sim version of the smartphone and now it’s the single sim version of the device that is the recipient of the latest Android goodness. However, the latest update is only available for owners of the device in Taiwan though it is just a matter of time before it proliferates to other regions of the world. As for the update for the dual sim version of the HTC One, the update was released earlier in China and Russia, the only two countries where the device is available.
Also, both the dual sim and single versions of the current HTC flagship device share a similar change log. This includes launcher bar enhancements, enhanced home button behavior, battery level indicator in the status bar, widget panel rearrangement, to name just a few. The update will also introduce new settings options within the notification area which will save users from delving into settings mode for every minor adjustment. Then there are also some enhancements for the camera along with the gallery as well. Plus, the latest update also introduces the new Zoe file format to the device.
The update has been pushed out over the air and notifications should already have reached or is in the process of reaching users of the smartphone in Taiwan. Or users can also try and download the update manually by checking ‘Software Update’ section under ‘About Phone’ and ‘Settings’.
