The Nokia Lumia 928 was announced recently on Verizon Wireless. The device, powered by Windows Phone 8, is going to be available in stores from as soon as the 16th of May. While this is wonderful news for users that were waiting for the phone all this time, it may also be wonderful news for those that were waiting for the HTC One, another smartphone running on Verizon Wireless.
The Nokia Lumia 928 was finally announced after weeks filled with rumors. This windows phone is also going to have 4G LTE capabilities. It’s something to look forward to, not only for users that are dying to try out the latest Windows software but also for users that are generally looking for smartphones.
This announcement may seem quite surprising considering the fact that Verizon said it was going to be making an announcement in Las Vegas on the 22nd of May at CTIA. A lot of people thought it was going to be an announcement for the Lumia 928. But, now that it’s official, what are they going to announce on the 22nd?
There have been many smartphone launches at CTIA’s of the past. But recently, many companies have started announcing new devices during their own shows instead of shows like MWC, CES and CTIA. A couple of examples of this were the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One which were announced at individual events.
But now that the Lumia 928 has already been announced, chances are high that CTIA will see the HTC One finally being announced. There hasn’t been any confirmed news regarding the release of the HTC One at CTIA though rumors have started doing the rounds. Trade shows might not be that popular anymore for smartphone releases but there is a very good chance that CTIA might finally see Verizon’s HTC One being announced.
