A new video depicting iPhone 6 has emerged online, providing some new insight on the set of features that the new Apple smartphone could be seen coming with. While the device shouldn’t be expected before next year, it still is interesting to know what the future might shape up to be as far as the iPhone in its 6th iteration is concerned.
To begin with, the device does look somewhat out of place with its design that is a deviation from the usual design theme that Apple has been following with its iPhone series so far. The video also reveals the device to be quite slimmer than its present iteration and possibly lighter too. The display is likely to be tweaked further to 1080p quality, something that is being referred to As Retina+ display. Apple’s Tim Cook though has refuted those claims but then, who knows, Apple might well pack a surprise here. Then there also are rumors of Apple might even contemplate a bigger 4.8 inch display for the iPhone 6.
While bigger and better display has been the norm that all smartphone makers have been conforming to off late, making them dust and waterproof too has emerged as a preferred feature that Apple might be seen implementing on iPhone 6. The current Sony flagsip, Xperia Z boast of water and dust proof capabilities while there is a Galaxy S4 variant in the making, the S4 Active that too will be equally rugged.
Release date of iPhone 6 is going to be next year but the video further reveals the iPhone 6 could be seen sorting LED notification lights, something that has been missing on the iPhone so far. Wireless charging is another feature that Apple could be seen adopting on the iPhone 6, or even the iPhone 5 as well. Other cool features the iPhone 6 could be seen sporting include front facing speakers a la HTC One, touch sensitive volume switch as well as a 13 megapixel rear facing camera.
