Technology is an infinite land of progress, rolling out constant changes and upgrades aimed at offering a unique user experience. Apple, Google, Samsung and other tech giants work together in their progress endeavors but separately in strategy, features and approach.
According to recent leaks, one of the upgrades Apple plans to release for the upcoming iPhone 6S is Force Touch, a feature already present on the Apple Watch and MacBook. With the help of this feature, users can activate notifications on how hard they are pressing on their phone screens. The feature also offers alternative options for users to improve their connection with the pressure sensitive displays.
Apple is already working on the new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus that will come with entertaining and upgraded software. Force Touch is the first unofficial announcement in terms of improvement for the two models.
One can use Force Touch in camera mode to switch between photo and video, bursting photography with slow motion and time lapse in real time. Force touch also allows you to accelerate scanning through video playback and offers new shortcuts for tough to reach areas in the large screened iPhone 6S plus. The benefits don’t end here, as the feature enables you to create completely new control options for games and introduces easier text selection and multiple file selection in apps related to productivity.
In terms of design, the upcoming iPhone models will be as long and as wide as the present ones, and will have a highly similar exterior design.
By perfecting features and services for the soon to be released iPhone models, Apple tries to stay ahead of competition, such as Samsung which just came from releasing its latest Galaxy smartphone with a screen that can be viewed from the side.
However, the Force Touch feature comes with downsides too. It allows for over complication, shadowing the ease in manipulating a smartphone. Now, everyone understands how to get around iOS but once the Force Touch is added, people can get a little bit confused. The more features appear, the more complicated the menu and the less intuitive the options. One can wonder why Force Touch works for some apps, while for others can prove to be inefficient. On the other hand, everything that is new requires some time and analysis, to be entirely assimilated and used with perfect efficiency.
By constantly upgrading its releases, Apple intends to stay in line with comparable alternatives from Samsung and HTC, helping meet the increasing demand in China and other Asian countries that first of all prefer more screen real estate and secondly, the Asian markets are very opened to innovative features.
