GoPro has currently launched a new device known as GoPro Karma Grip bound to fulfill every customer’s expectations. The new handheld camera which is fueled by batteries and provides proper image stabilization is now available on the market. What is more, developers implemented a different approach this time, and the device will not be available with the Karma drone to which customers were already used to.
The new Karma Grip will be offered as an independent unit. Apparently, GoPro could not keep their promises and most likely disappointed their users. They were bound to implement the free versions of the stabilizer grips. Unfortunately, their net income decreased by 15%, and they also needed to recall the launch of the Karma drones.
A recent decision demonstrates that despite all the difficulties which occurred lately, the company decided to make the re-entry of the device, also implementing the decrease of the waiting period for the handheld mount. This decision was entirely appreciated by excited fans who were eager to get their device sooner. The new GoPro Karma Grip was estimated to cost approximately $299.
The new camera equipped with a whole bunch of new features is prone to represent the most suitable way to stabilize the video footage captured by GoPro cameras. The device offers a stabilization equal in quality with the three-axis gimbal in the Karma drone. The another benefit provided by the new Karma Grip is that of acquiring stabilization features for any frame rate or a given resolution. This is excellent news for those who are passionate about video footage.
However, the pre-installed feature responsible for electronic image stabilization (EIS) of the Hero 5 Black requires for the resolution to perform at a minimum of 2.7K, having a frame rate of 60 fps. The new Karma Grip is outfitted with two-mode integration, having the Hero cameras for establishing the connection with the camera through a micro-HDMI and USB-C ports. This technology allows the user to have full control over the camera by using the buttons on the handheld mount.
As soon as the camera is mounted, then it will be pointing straight irrespective of the position in which the assembling is held. Nevertheless, the position of the mount can be changed by using a particular button meant to lock the camera to its latest angle and position.
