While it is the Nexus 7 2 and the iPad Mini 2 that is hogging all the lime light in the world tech scene right now, there are other surprises waiting for us too. For soon to join this league would be the new line of Kindle Fire tablet devices from Amazon, which also includes the Kindle Fire HD 2 models as well. Of course, none of this stands confirmed though going by the yearly product refresh cycle that Amazon follows, the rumor stories about the new Kindle Fire devices can be considered to be well on time. The launch window for the new Amazon products’ is being speculated to be in the months of August or September.
So far, Amazon is rumored to launch three new Kindle Fire variants, including one that will replace the cheapest $159 version of the 7 inch Kindle Fire tablet as well. Similarly, the Kindle Fire HD 2 would replace the present 7 inch Kindle Fire HD while the present 8.9 inch tablet that Amazon is selling, would be replaced by the Kindle Fire HD 2 8.9.
The rumors about the Kindle line of products from Amazon have been further established by a report appearing in the Economic Daily News in Taiwan which has also pegged the probable launch window as the months August – September. The launch schedule if true would be somewhere between the launch of the Nexus 7 2 which is rumored to arrive late July or early August, and the iPad Mini 2 which expected around November, just before the holiday season begins. The first gen iPad Mini had come into the market in November a few months after the Kindle Fire HD and the Nexus 7 were launched.
So far as the capabilities of the new Kindle Fire HD go, the rumor speaks about a screen resolution of 1920 x 1200 for the device which would be 7 inch by dimension. Also of course the operating system will be a heavily customized version of Android to enable easy access to the various services that Amazon has on offer at its online portal.
