With the official confirmation from Sprint about the roll out for the Optimus G Jelly Bean, it means the owners can get ready for the update anytime. The update started rolling out to owners at the end of February. Those who haven’t received their update yet could see it roll out within the next couple of days.
Sprint Optimus G is now in the middle of a full on Jelly Bean roll out and the device gets upped from Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich up to Android 4.1, which is a vast improvement over Android 4.0. There are going to be plenty of enhancements along with those bug fixes .
Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update includes features like expandable notifications and Google Now along with a couple of other enhancements. For example, there is an improved Camera, a better stock keyboard, and a smoother as well as faster user interface. These enticing features would certainly want Sprint Optimus G owners to want to update fast.
Enjoy more of those expandable and actionable notifications. With an easy to navigate user interface, download the QuickTranslator application and enjoy all animations and drawing done by the Android framework. Plus, there are user-installable keyboard maps too. Widgets and shortcuts can be re-arranged automatically. There is improved camera app and voice search. Send photos and more features like screen composition, touch events, Bluetooth data transfer etc.
Those who are still waiting for the update and are getting impatient can head for the device’s settings manually to look for the update. The phone will alert with a prompt about the update, asking the owner to download and install. Once the installation is over and that may take a while, the device will reboot and one can enjoy all its features on board. The new software is rolling out in phases.
