Efficiency would be the key feature of the Moto X phone from the Google Motorola venture. Aspects like a powerful processor or a full HD Display is what the talk has been going on about the upcoming Moto X phone to be having. A leak now suggests otherwise. The source of this leak, evleaks, has tweeted that Google Motorola Moto X phone would not have these attractive features as these features draw a lot of power. Efficiency is rather something the Moto X would denote.
The display therefore would be a 720p one, as per the evleaks tweet. This would mean that the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4 would have higher end display units. The core processor of the Moto X would be a 1.7 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, which has been selected over its more illustrious quad core chips to ensure greater battery efficiency. Comparing this with the Google Nexus which has a quad core Snapdragon processor it would be a slower phone. Motorola though seems to be more obsessed with greater battery times than outright performance with the Moto X.
Quite predictably, the Moto X would run the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The smartphone would also include dual cameras, with the back facing one being of 10 megapixel while a 2 megapixel unit will make up the front.
The tweet also mentions about the possibility of the Moto X phone having a custom interface running on top of the OS. This would be in line with the announcement by the CEO of Motorola Mobility, Dennis Woodside that this phone would be different. He had mentioned this during his talk with All Things Digital.
There is the possibility of Google coming up with a variant of the phone that would have no other interface running over it for there are users who prefer a phone with the OS in its purest form. This variant if it comes maybe named the Google Edition Moto X.
