The Jeep Compass vehicle will soon be launched on the market, bound to thrill all Jeep fans with its new features. Jeep has uncovered new details about their model which will soon be available on the market. The upcoming Compass will be the rival of the VW Tiguan. The advantage is that it will include more data about technology and powertrains.
Customers around the world will be able to choose from a range of five engines, the selection varying depending on the market. Jeep has confirmed there will be two diesel engines and three petrol ones. Customers will also have the option to select one of the three available gearboxes. The petrol engine will be equipped with MultiAir 2 turbo, with a capacity of 1.4 liters.
The carmaker company did not yet specify which engine model will be available for vehicles which will be launched in the UK, but it is most likely that they will use the 1.4-liter one. The engine will present a range of three gearboxes from which the buyer will be required to choose one. The manual gearbox with six level of speed will only be suitable for 4×2 vehicles. This model of car will also have the possibility of being equipped with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
The 4×4 models will be outfitted with a gearbox with nine levels of speed. Customers will also be able to opt for a Tigershark unit of 2.0 liters and a MultiAir 2 with a capacity measuring 2.4 liters. The last type mentioned will be used on the US market. The diesel engines used for the new Jeep Compass are the MultiJet one with a capacity of 2.0 liters and the MultiJet of 1.6 liters with a 4×2 drivetrain, being also equipped with a manual gearbox with six levels of speed.
The other type will be used as a nine-speed gearbox in the 4×4 version, even if the 4×2 model will also go on sale. The standard model of the screen will measure five inches. Nevertheless, customers will also be able to choose between the 8.4-inch display or the 7.0-inch one. The larger frameworks will be equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. What is more, the 8.4-inch display has an extra feature, allowing its user to use multi-touch gesture, using the screen just like your smartphone.
