Last week, the trailer for the upcoming Street Fighter 5 was leaked on several websites, despite the fact that the game’s company, Capcom didn’t know anything about it. As soon as Capcom was aware of the illegally leaked trailer, it did its best to remove the teaser from YouTube and other places on the internet it might have appeared.
Many believe that Capcom was stressed out for no reason because any Street Fighter fan who wanted to see the trailer of the latest game watched it eventually. Also, Capcom revealed the new Street Fighter 5 a day later at the PlayStation Experience show.
Capcom revealed that the new Street Fighter 5 will be available exclusively on PS4 and PC. The company made it clear that the new fighting game will not be available on other consoles like Xbox One. Adam Boyes, the vice president of Sony was very specific when he said that the new Street Fighter 5 will only appear on one game console and that is PlayStation 4.
Of course, this does not the exclude the fact that the game can be made available on other platforms in the future, but for now Sony’s PS4 has exclusivity. Sony might be the only company to offer this version of the Street Fighter 5, which means that Sony will enjoy some good sales figures.
One of the best surprises concerning the new Street Fighter 5is that it supports cross-platform play mode and PS4 and PC gamers can play against each other online. Many believe that this will attract more PC gamers because they will want to compete against those who are PS4 users. There is an old rivalry between PC and PS4 gamers and this is the best opportunity to set things straight.
The trailer for the new Street Fighter 5 is available to watch on the official site and on other internet sources. The new Street Fighter 5 also features a gameplay video presentation of two of the fighers: Ryu VS Chun Li.
The new Street Fighter 5 will first be available on December 13 at the Capcom Cup event, which will be streamed live on the Cacpom Cup official website.
