That’s right, the Google Nexus 4 is rumored to be on the verge of releasing a wireless charging dock accessory. This dock would work as a wireless way to charge your phone without having to insert a USB or any other type of interface into it.
The wireless dock has been long awaited by many consumers, and most experts did not expect to see this wireless dock so soon. Google has a reputation for showing off incredible accessories and functions of their devices, but not releasing these devices for months after they have released the main product. The Nexus 7, for example, was shown charging of a similar charging dock when it was revealed back in July of last year.
However,Google has yet to put these docks on the shelves. The Nexus 4 was revealed, along with the wireless charging dock, in October of 2012. The wireless dock was not released and has only been a rumor since shown at the Nexus 4 unveiling. Recently, there have been reports of a Qi based wireless dock that will be released sometime in February. This dock is said to be similar to other docks of its type already available. It plugs into a wall and has a magnetic face that the Nexus 4 unit attaches effortlessly and firmly to. When held by the magnetic forces, the plate also charges the phone without having to plug in any cords.
The earliest projection for these wireless docks being available on the market is a Norwegian retailer who has listed the arrival of the docks on February 12. He has listed the price of the accessory at $114.00. We will not know for certain when the Nexus 4 wireless dock will become available it but when it does, people will undoubtedly place just as much demand on this revolutionary accessory as they did the Nexus 4 itself.
