Nioh was characterized by reviewers as being a brutal samurai game. The new game was exclusively designed for PlayStation 4. The game was developed by Team Ninja. This studio also worked on developing the ‘Dead or Alive’ and the ‘Ninja Gaiden’ series. Nioh will be launched on February 7th. This new game managed to attract many fans due to the multiple betas and demos introduces.
All these stages helped developers refine the game based on the feedback they got from the players. Some reviewers who already had a chance to play the game, receiving it from Sony in advance, argued that Nioh, even it is brutal, it’s an excellent match. Nioh uses many basic structural features from Souls games.
Nevertheless, the new game is different from any other match, having unique features that make it stand out. Among the borrowed elements, reviewers listed the fact that the player can get XP by killing his/her enemies. If it happens to die, the XP you were carrying is dropped. The player has only one shot to win it back. If the gamer misses the chance, then the XP is lost for good.
Every time your character dies, the level is most likely to reset while standard enemies respawn. If you have unused XP, you can always cash it at thresholds. These are Souls bonfires which allow you to level up or reset the level. Levels enable stratified quests, and if gamers venture in the right direction, they can use shortcuts which could help them get around much faster.
However, players should not forget about the traps that may come their way. What is more, what will appear to be the simplest path will not always be the suitable one. The game is not outfitted with a jump button. Fighting bosses could be extremely tough especially because they could kill you in an instant, with just a few hits. The game can be so complex that you might need to fight a boss at least ten times before killing it.
The combat in Nioh is also borrowed from Souls games. Nevertheless, in Nioh, there is a strong focus on duels of type one vs. one against deadly enemies. Players need to pay attention to every detail when fighting with the enemy, taking into consideration the surroundings while also controlling their stamina.
