The boy spent the $300 on 30 blankets that a local church gave away to the local homeless people.
Mikah Frye was soon called at a Microsoft store to pick up his present along with other surprise goodies. To be more precise the boy got two bags packed with accessories and extra games.
Yet, the icing on the cake was the Minecraft-themed Xbox One X he has been so long longing for.

Frye had donated the money to the Ashland Church Community Emergency Shelter Services, which had once helped his family too when they ran out of money. The boy was so grateful for the help he received that he hand-wrote a note for every blanket he gave away.
In the notes, he reminded the homeless people that the shelter helped him and his family with blankets years ago.
Today, I live in my own house, and someday you will too. Your friend Mikah,
Frye ended his note.
The boy’s grandmother explained that the boy’s generosity was spurred by his hands-on experience with homelessness when his family couldn’t support themselves financially. This is why he decided to help others who lost their homes too.
He decided to use the money to buy some blankets after seeing several people living on the streets while he was taking a stroll with his family. He was curious how those people would keep themselves warm during winter, and his grandmother suggested that a warm blanket would be of great help.
