So far we know the Find 7 is coming and now Oppo has teased the smartphone will arrive with a whopping 2K display, acing the current 1080p trend and doubling the amount of resolution to 2560 x 1600.
The 2K display movement has started already and both Sony and Samsung are developing higher-resolution screens for early 2014. We may see the 2K screens at CES 2014 in January, before the launch of smartphones to accompany the screens at MWC in Barcelona the month after.
Apart from the display specs, the Oppo Find 7 looks to take all the best on the market right now and implement it onto the smartphone. The full spec sheet has not been leaked or released yet, but we can hazard a guess through some rumors and possibilities what will come on the Find 7.
We can expect either the Snapdragon 805 SoC or the octa-core MediaTek processor, 3GB of RAM and Oppo will either add a 13MP or 16MP low-light camera, a huge battery, LTE, NFC, dual-band WiFi a/g/b/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0.
On the software side, we are curious to see if the CyanogenMod sticks to Oppo’s line of smartphones or if the Find 7 will only run Oppo’s Color OS. Choice is always better and when Color OS isn’t exactly one of our favorite skins CyanogenMod is a great option.
We would love to see this at MWC 2014, but the fact that Oppo is still a fairly unknown brand outside China will make it hard to market, especially against industry titans like Samsung and LG.
