Ubisoft might have already had a South Park game in development, but this was not enough to stop it from announcing another related title. This one will be different, as the South Park franchise will enter an unknown territory, namely mobile gaming. Although on new ground, Phone Destroyer will be embracing the mobile platform and make great use of it.
Ubisoft is preparing a South Park mobile card game
During E3, Ubisoft presented a brief trailer which left us quite unsatisfied. It was a bit too short for fans to make out what kind of a game Phone Destroyer will be, but the company wanted to offer some more details afterwards.
They revealed that the game will combine combat with card collecting, so you will be able to gather cards, trade them, and then enter battles with other players. You must already be familiar with this kind of card games.
The multiplayer game is free-to-play
If you have played the previous South Park game the Stick of Truth, you should know the New Kid. He is the main playable character of this game, and will be surrounded by cops, cowboys, priests, bards, cyborgs, or many other characters he has to either fight or collaborate with.
RedLynx is the developing studio responsible with creating Phone Destroyer. As expected, it is a multiplayer game, where you can get new cards and be constantly up-to-date with the skills you need to fight other players. However, one last important thing about the game is that it’s free to play.
Ubisoft didn’t reveal an official date for the release of Phone Destroyer, but it should be ready for both Android and iOS before the end of this year. However, the company should shortly offer more information on the title, as well as on the other pending South Park game, The Fractured But Whole.
