The first 14-inch Razer Blade was a huge flop and even Razer said that it could have been much better, especially referring to the 1600×900 display. The new Razer gaming laptop is outstanding: the display was highly improved, they amped its GPU and kept it thinner than a dime.
Razer Gaming Laptop Specifications
Many, if not all clients that have bought the 2013 Razer complained about its poor display and this year the people at Razer listened to their customer and did something amazing: it’s got a 3200×1800 resolution, a 14-inch display and it has 262 PPI (which means it’s got a total of 5.76 pixels). Just for a quick comparison, the MacBook Pro with Retina display has 227 PPI with a resolution of 2560×1600.
The Razer gaming laptop display is made from an IGZO/IPS panel and has full touch capabilities! The screen is edge-to-edge and it looks stunning.
Now that we got to see the amazing display, let’s see what this Razer gaming laptop has on the inside. Still great news, it’s got a new Nvidia GeForce GTX 870M GPU, 4th generation Core i7 processor and tests have shown that it is 65% faster than its predecessor. It’s got a 8GB of RAM and a SSD of 128GB.
With all that power on the inside, the Razer Gaming Laptop can get a bit too hot. Apparently, right above the F keys, there is an area identified by Razer engineers that users don’t touch, so they placed e heat generator dispenser, which unfortunately disperses the heat much lower, to the D and F keys. We have to see how much bothersome this is going to get.
The Razer gaming laptop is an impressive machine and we invite you to consider it, if you’re shopping for gaming laptops.
