The display to be used on the Samsung Galaxy Note3 has given rise to a lot of speculative discussions. The gadget is slated for release sometime later in the year. The rumors hint at the display being of 6 inch which is larger than that of the Galaxy Note 2. Worth mentioning here, the latter has been one of the most popular smartphone model from Samsung which means the Note 3 will have to hit the ground running or risk being mauled by its own predecessor. Also, if the Note 3 indeed comes with a 6 inch display, this would make it the biggest smartphone Samsung has ever released.
Leaked information which provides juice to the rumors, hint at the display on the Samsung Galaxy note 3 having 1080p resolution and the processor being Exynoz 5 Octa. It would also have a camera of 13 megapixel. The display type is also a matter of discussion with the options of LCD, AMOLED and then there is the unbreakable flexible display which Samsung had displayed at the CES event held this year, called the Samsung Youm which could see application on the Note 3.
Also adding to the rumor is a recent report by the Korea Investment & Securities mentioning the 6 inch gadget from Samsung is coming up this year. The report also mentions about Samsung’s inability to get their Youm display ready in times for the launch with the Galaxy Note 3. For this reason they say, Samsung would go for the OLED technology based display unit. This bit of information shelves any idea of the Galaxy Note 3 coming with a Sharp IGZO display unit.
Previous rumors had pointed out Samsung testing out three prototypes of its Galaxy Note 3. One having an AMOLED display, one with their Youm display and there is a third display which is not yet known about. Release of the Galaxy Note 3 can be expected to happen before the IFA 2013 event which is scheduled to be held in Berlin. That sets the approximate month of the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to be September.
