Samsung has always been accused of copying Apple’s technology and devices and Apple consumers and loyal fans now have more to shout about as Samsung introduces Galaxy Note 8.0 which is just another look alike rival for Apple iPad Mini. Although, Samsung has never claimed that they have been trying to imitate Apple’s ideas but the identical looks will surely lead to lot of cold war between the two consumer technology giants that are fighting for the market share. Samsung has introduced the new Galaxy Note 8 at the Mobile World Congress 2013 and it is surely the best device out in the show.
Once again Samsung makes use of the in-house Exynos chip that offers superior power to the device. The all new Samsung Note 8 is powered by Exynos 1.6GHz quad core ARM Cortex A9 processor combined with 2GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. This is definitely a bit faster than the Apple iPad Mini that incorporates the dual core processor.
Samsung has made sure that they fit in more options and technologies than Apple iPad Mini and therefore Samsung Note 8 offers more pixel density of 189 ppi compared to Apple iPad Mini that offers 169 ppi. However, in terms of display resolution it offers 1280 X 800 pixels which is on the same lines as Kindle Fire HD and Nexus 7 which means that there is nothing much new for the consumers.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean which makes the Android experience smoother and better. On the rear it sports 5 megapixel camera while it has 1.3 megapixel front facing camera which is again identical feature like Apple iPad Mini. It certainly weighs a bit heavier than Apple iPad Mini. Samsung claims that the strongest asset of Galaxy Note 8 is that it can still make calls and offers stylus which makes the job easier for consumers. While Samsung has not quoted the official price yet but it will remain close to the Apple iPad Mini prices in the market.
