We believe that U.S. Cellular is going to be following in the footsteps of T-Mobile and AT&T with an update for the Samsung Galaxy S4. These updates are mainly to fix a few of the bugs present in the phone. AT&T and T-Mobile have both released updates for the device and while nothing is clear about the AT&T update (some say it helps fix lag issues) the T-Mobile update updated the visual voicemail software in the Galaxy S4.
But now, these two aren’t the only service providers that are coming out with updates. Even U.S. Cellular is planning to release an update for Galaxy S4 users as soon as the 10th of May.
There was a document unearthed recently which appears to confirm that the update is indeed coming for the Galaxy S4. It just says the update will be coming in May though. There are many fixes rumored to be part of this update and it will most likely turn the phone into a whole new device.
One of the most awaited updates is regarding the multi-window view. By default this feature is on and the update is supposed to change the default setting to off. The audio quality for voice recording and the camcorder is supposed to be improved as well. The touch response is supposed to get a slight tweak as well. There is even a fix for the camera where the home key is going to make a sound when pressed during Sound and Shoot. Not any big changes in this update, but a highly anticipated one nonetheless.
There has been no official news on this update as of now though but we are pretty sure it will debut this month. Also, when the update is out, it should be available Over-the-Air and there will be no need of using Samsung Kies to download.
