Samsung’s Galaxy S4 is coming, even if the company has not said when. Of course the rumour mill is in overdrive, especially with the Mobile World Conference (MWC) taking place next week, although Samsung has said there will be no S IV launch at that event. So while we fill most of our days looking for more spec details, leaked pictures, and anything else regarding the S IV we still cannot wait to see this device for real. There were some leaked images of possible hardware of S4 recently circulating the web.
The newest Galaxy S IV rumour suggests that Samsung is preparing to launch a Galaxy S IV Mini at the same time as the full flagship device. Samsung is currently working on a secretive project by the name of “Project J” within which the Korean company is working on three separate devices. The first is the already mentioned Galaxy S IV, the second is a fitness device that will be worn on the wrist, and the third and newest subject of debate is an S IV Mini.
After the mega success of the Galaxy S III, Samsung launched the S III Mini, a watered down version of the all-conquering smartphones. Basically the S III Mini brought some of the high end specs of the SIII proper and offered them in a smaller and less expensive package that appealed to the mid-range buyer. Of course, some key features were also omitted.
While critics were not particularly bowled over by the S III Mini it did manage to sell in good numbers, no doubt prompting Samsung to back up the Galaxy S IV with its own mini version. In the case of the S III, the Mini arrived a few months after the flagship, however with an April or May date rumoured for the S IV release; it is likely now that the Mini S IV will be launched alongside its older sibling.
