Snapchat users can now enjoy the new app introduced which favors music lovers. By simply holding a finger on the screen of their Android, users can activate Shazam to discover the name of any song which could be heard. Due to the partnership between Shazam and Snapchat, users are now able to share the recognize songs with their contacts. They can send up to 16 songs at a time.
The new update is incorporated into a broader feature implemented by Snapchat. This feature makes possible group messaging. These groups can be created when users develop a new chat or when they share a snap. If their friends are available in a Group Chat, then their names will appear at the bottom of the Chat. To start a conversation, users only need to tap the name of a friend, having the option to return to the group whenever they swipe.
Snap Inc., the parent of Snapchat, noted in a post that the new update is called the Quick Chat. This represents the easiest and fastest method to continue a conversation with a single friend without spamming the whole group. Snap Inc. will also implement two new tools namely Paintbrush and Scissors.
The user can apply the scissors to cut out a Snap to transform it into a sticker. Paintbrush is used to modify Snaps from Memories, converting a capture into an artistic object. Last month, Snap Inc. filed its IPO. This is expected to launch in March 2017. The tech company hopes to rise from $25 billion to $35 billion. Back in 2013, Twitter used a similar approach, filing a new product when it was bound to generate a lot more revenues.
Trying to overcome the success of Twitter, Snapchat is currently struggling to provide better service. Snap Inc. is ready to deploy excessive growth when it comes to ad revenue, despite the fierce competition between Snapchat and Facebook. A new research estimated that the launch of the Group Chat would create ad revenues valued at about $366.69 million this year.
Next year, the numbers are expected to grow up to $935.46 million. Cathy Boyle, who is the principal analyst at eMarketer, argued that the success of Snapchat is linked to its young user base. Advertisers are bound to work with Snap Inc. due to the extended reach among youngsters which represent valuable demographic groups for several companies.
