In March, Sony will release a new ultra HD Blu-ray player. Now that we had the chance last month to take a look at all the fantastic devices bound to be launched this year, we know what to expect, and probably some of us already know what to buy when those products are out on the market.
Until the first electronics are released, we should take a look at the prices they may feature. Sony revealed more details regarding its new XBR TV variety, except the high-end model A1E OLED. These new devices are used with Google Assistant or Android, bound to control the multiroom audio and all your smart home devices.
The newly developed product may also be used with other types of HDR, being able to use HDR-10. Also, they can also be controlled by using Dolby Vision and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) which will launch later this year.
At the top of the list, there are XBR-X940E and XBR-X930E. They are equipped with a slim backlighting system, and Sony argues that this can enable a more powerful processor meant to adjust the contrast on every object present in an image, providing 10x the contrast offered by most of LED-lit TVs.
In the middle of the list, we find the XBR-900E which is outfitted with a step-down processor and a full array local dimming. This device is followed by the XBR-800E/XBR-X850E which does not feature local dimming. When it comes to pricing, they oscillate, going from an XBR-43X800E with a 43-inch display that costs $1,000, to an XBR-75X940E of 75 inches which has a price tag of $7,500, this being the top of the line.
The XBR-75X940E concentrates the best features ever found in a Sony. Developers did not officially announce a release date, but we were informed that they would be launched in March. Apparently, Best Buy is taking preorders. Those are curious and eager to try the devices as soon as possible, they may preorder them.
What is more, Sony is ready to release its new UHD Blu-ray player, the UBP-X800. This product will also be available for shipping in March. It is currently open for preorder from Best Buy and Amazon, having a price tag of #300.
