The Sony Xperia Z Ultra and the SmartWatch 2 makes a picture of contrast. This since the former makes for a considerable presence given its generous dimensions which makes the SmartWatch 2 seem puny in front of it. Nevertheless, the two devices made a stage appearance on June 25th and both evoked considerable consumer interest. However, it is the SmartWatch 2 that is the topic of discussion here, and unfortunately, it’s not good news that we are out to share about the successor of the original SmartWatch device.
Clove UK had started accepting pre orders for the Sony SmartWatch 2 with the launch date mentioned being July 15. However, that is not to be according to the latest input on this. Instead, the launch has now been postponed to September 9.
So those who have already pre ordered the SmartWatch 2 have to wait for two long months to get the device. But the UK based retailer cannot be blamed for it whatsoever. According to it, the delay is actually the result of some sort of a goof up and it is Sony that seems to be at fault. The retailer further said that it might even happen that someone has purposely messed up with the launching date and mentioned it to be much earlier that what it actually is. This is however not the very first time that Sony has deviated from its original statement. Even the customers who have pre ordered Xperia Z tablet had also suffered a similar fate. The tablet was first scheduled for a mid April release after which Sony apologized and even stated that the device will be coming in May.
