Sony has only just announced the Xperia Z1 two weeks ago, but the Xperia Z2 is already out and about, with specs information leaked out a few days ago alongside a probable release date, now we have our first blurry image of the apparent device.
The new photo leak does show a few new features coming to the Xperia Z2, if we can get passed the fact it is a very blurry photo and the Xperia Z2 design may still not be finalised and the source is not that credible.
First design change is the size of the Xperia Z2, the phone looks a lot thinner than the previous version, from plain view it would look even thinner than the Huawei Ascend P6 and iPhone 5, but this is questionable considering the Ascend P6 is incredible thin already.
We may see a new push for thinner devices with flexible displays, but it will be hard for Sony to add a flexible display to the Xperia Z2, considering the release date could be as soon as CES 2014, in January.
The Xperia Z2 is also expected to add some new features internally, including a ramped up Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and some new camera features alongside the 20.7MP Sony sensor.
Sony will also pack in the latest version of Android, KitKat 4.4, with the usual Sony skin. The company has been one of the more liberal when it comes to ROMs on the device, allowing people with the knowledge to easily change the UI.
This rumor does need to be taken with a big spoonful of salt, even with two leaks in the past week. Sony has yet to release the Xperia Z1 in some countries and we find it hard to believe they will change the flagship after six months.
