There were quite a few rumors saying that Apple will rejuvenate their famous MacBook Air with new updates soon. That soon is now because Apple MacBook Air was indeed updated, and even though those updates are not what one might call groundbreaking, they are important improvements that should make Apple lovers happy, especially those how have been waiting for some upgrades on the MacBook Air. The new models cost $899 (11 inch model) and $999 (13 inch). This is the perfect time for Apple to capitalize their strong Mac position on the market since in the second quarter of the year they have sold 4.1 million Mac computers, an improvement since last year when they sold 3.9 million devices.
The updated Apple MacBook Air come with an improved processor, with new Intel Haswell that make the new Macs a little more powerful and by powerful we mean faster and more efficient. Apple also updates the storage options on their new MacBook Airs and now they have a better baseline option. Apple announced that they will update everything from the base models to the top one with new improved processors, so no matter what your budget is you’ll be getting the best for your money.
The improvements on Apple are meant for one thing: to keep the sales of Apple’s notebooks and desktops up. The MacBook Air has become Apple’s flagship Mac, after debuting as an odd, somewhat misfit device. That changed when Apple released the 11.6 inch and the 13.3 inch versions in 2010. The new devices started to sell strong.

Apple MacBook Air being updated is just the beginning in the series of changes and improvements that Apple are planning for us. Remember, Apple will have their big WWDC conference in June where they will announce new hardware updates, but most importantly they will reveal the next generation of OS X.
In conclusion, Apple MacBook Air got updated with a new processor but apart from that it’s still the same: 12GB of storage, 4GB RAM. We wished that it will get updated to the 8GB of RAM in the near future. That would make us a happy bunch.
