The BlackBerry Z30 has been rumored for a while with some leaks showing the full design of the larger BB10 device. Originally named the BlackBerry A10, it has been months since we first heard of the phablet.

This is the successor to the BlackBerry Z10 with a full-touchscreen and larger display. It looks like BlackBerry is going all in on the touchscreen design now, with rumors the BlackBerry Q10 is doing awful in stores around the world.

The BlackBerry Z30 comes with a SUPER AMOLED 720p screen, 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 320 GPU, 16GB of internal storage with microSD expansion, 2880mAh battery, 8MP rear camera, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, LTE and NFC.

This type of mid-range experience Android users see is the creme of the crop for BlackBerry, with the company still yet to implement quad-core or 1080p support, they are in the same position as Windows Phone right now, before the GDR3 update.

Design of the smartphone is almost identical to the BlackBerry Z10, apart from the size difference, the materials used and placement of buttons show BlackBerry has not made any progress or change in the BB system, for better or worse.

BB10.2 is another new feature coming with the BlackBerry Z30, with it comes BB Priority Hub, similar to Gmail Priority Inbox but including all of the users different social services. There is also now a way to read messages from the lock-screen, similar to active display on the Moto X.

There is no release date information or pricing, but we expect it to be coming to carriers around October time for the same price the BlackBerry Z10 when it was first released. Currently BlackBerry is undergoing some changes and the company has set up a special committee to decide the fate of the mobile maker and plan the future, this may not be enough to change their ideas.
