Sprint Will Launch Nokia Lumia 635, First Nokia in 9 Years

Sprint has announced that it will launch the first Nokia smartphone in almost nine years. The smartphone is the new Nokia Lumia 635 and it marks a partnership between Microsoft and Sprint. The new Nokia Lumia 635 will be released in several Sprint brands like Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile starting with December 23.

The first Nokia phone in nine years will be made available for postpaid Sprint customers on January 16, making it the first Windows Phone 8.1 device which is sold on Sprint’s mobile networks. It is also the first Lumia Windows smartphone for Sprint prepaid customers.

Both Sprint networks, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile offer very affordably wireless plans, without contract. These plans include unlimited talk time, texts and data options. The new Nokia Lumia 635 will be available in different colors, like cyan and white ant the price will be $99.99, without taxes. From January 9, the new Lumia smartphone can be purchased from Boost Mobile’s retail stores and several independent wireless providers from all over the Unites States.

After January 9, the new Lumia phone will be available at national retail stores, but Sprint has not disclosed any prices, yet.
Many tech experts believe Nokia Lumia 635 is a powerful smartphone that will please those looking for something news. It comes with the personal digital assistant named Cortana, which can help its user with managing daily tasks and setting reminders for meetings.

The upcoming smartphone is a Windows Phone 8.1 and it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor of 1.2GHz. The processor is enhanced with the LTE access, which helps the phone browse faster on the internet. It also helps with multitasking, especially with Sprint’s 4G LTE network.

The home screen shows all the important notifications like emails, appointments, contacts and favorite websites. The new Nokia Lumia 635 comes with important Microsoft services and features like OneDrive, Skype and Office.
David Owens, the senior VP of Microsoft’s Product Development said that the company is very excited to announce the new Nokia Lumia 635 as the first no-contract Windows Phone to be made available at Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile US.
