The E3 convention was full of surprises when it came to video games and powerful line -ups of next – gen games and new installments.

Yesterday we told you about Nintendo’s new line of Amiibo toys to accompany the upcoming Super Smash Bros and we surely mentioned that the same company teased for a new incredible Legend of Zelda installment via a breathtaking trailer.

Microsoft didn’t fall behind its competitors and lined up so many games to come in the next years, it would take a separate article to mention them all.

But today we will not talk about major video game producers but about Bossa Studios, a small video gaming company mostly famous for its crazy Surgeon Simulator video game.

If you never played the game, we don’t recommend you to, if you are faint of heart. If you feel like Dexter on the inside and feel the need to butcher something into the virtual world, by all means, try it. This is perhaps the best description of the game we found:

Gamers are pretty desensitized to blood and guts — after all, you can only blow off so many zombie heads or impale so many bandits before you just aren’t squeamish anymore. However, it’s one thing to have blood and random goo splatter everywhere, but it’s quite another to see actual organs taken out of people’s bodies and examined up close. Enter Surgeon Simulator, the game that lets you tear open a very unlucky patient and completely obliterate his vital organs with drills, hammers and other implements of destruction.

Don’t get us wrong, the purpose of the game is not to kill somebody, but to perform a heart transplant. The catch is, the PC version of the game is almost impossible to use. There is no hand coordination, no soft movements, no fine motor skills, nothing. You are a wood puppet trying to save the patient. The blood and flowing organs are what makes the game funny and popular.

So, because players seem to enjoy the game, Bossa Studios announced a new Surgeon Simulator video game adapted to the PS 4 console. Fine motor skills? Forget it! You will have to use the dual-shock controller. It will make you even clumsier as a surgeon, but at least you will have the privilege of spilling blood in the funniest of ways. Or so the developers believe:

We genuinely believe that this version of the game is even funnier that earlier versions of Surgeon Simulator,” a representative from Bossa wrote on the Playstation blog. “Something about seeing vital organs flying around a bigger screen while you relax on the sofa really strikes us as hilarious – having your whole body involved with it really adds to the physical comedy of the game.
