On August 4th, Call of Duty’s final downloadable content from Activision is due to be released for Xbox, with other platforms following short after.
The PS3, PS4 and PC versions should be expected by early September.
Advanced Warfare will contain a final map pack, which would make everything even more intriguing for gaming connoisseurs.
At a full capacity of entertaining, astonishing gameplay, 4 new maps will be introduced: Fracture, Overload, Quarantine and Swarm. A final episode of Advanced Warfare’s Zombie saga will be introduced as a bonus. The brand new Trident Reflected Energy Weapon will be delivered to gamers, whereas it is sure to cause significant damage to opponents.
About each map’s structure, firstly, let’s start with Fracture. The action’s set in an arctic excavation site, where you have to discover hidden secrets in the ice. The large combat areas will take place on the edge of a glacier, but you will be able to take cover behind wind turbines and heavy equipment. Nevertheless, you have to stay alert, as pieces of the glaciers will be pulled off into the depths, so be aware of a gruesome death.
Secondly, Overload will transport you to exotic New Baghdad, where you will enjoy intriguingly unusual, different sights concealing fountains, gardens, plasma lamps etc. The décor should be truly amazing. This particular map will be structured on different levels, you will be able to toggle between medium or long-range combat and, last but not least, firing a shot at the lamps will just as well propel enemies into a devastating, violent explosion.
Thirdly, Quarantine’s walking into the footsteps of a Resident Evil-like Universe, a Universe resulted from a deadly viral outbreak, the island’s refugees being victims of a biological testing center. The map will be enhanced with a special kind of shooting/striking ability, by launching missile strikes. This certain map will be adaptable to any gameplay style whatsoever.
Last but not least, Swarm, explores exotic Seoul, South Korea, where reconstruction is underway. This map will be conveyed with narrow corridors and pathways, filled with equipment, ammo and vehicles. You will be able to seek shelter in the streets, behind the storefronts, or attack the enemy in the center of the map, through close-quarter interiors.
Sledgehammer co-founder Glen Schofield told the press that the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s universe and development was an “amazing journey”.
He said that the Activision team looks forward to continuing to please their amazing fans, whereas the completion of their 4th downloadable content add-on pack, Reckoning, has been a truly outstanding experience.
