Are you familiar with any of the games from the Call of Duty series? Maybe you are a diehard Battlefield fan? Either way, you will definitely know of the competition between both these games for the top spot. Our opinion is that both games are equally good first person shooters and each have their own set of unique features.
Anyway, you would know that Battlefield 4 was unveiled recently and is now available for pre-order. There is even a lot of talk going on regarding the release date (mostly rumors unfortunately). But, as soon as this game was unveiled, focus shifted to the Call of Duty series in anticipation of their retaliation. And now we have it, Call of Duty: Ghosts.
The game has been announced for a release in 2013. Infinity Ward is working on the development of the game and is reportedly, working on an entirely new gaming experience. Even though most people were expecting the next game in the series to be Modern Warfare 4, it seems the company believed it would be better to introduce something new into the series (given a new generation of gaming console is on the way).
We don’t have much information regarding the setting or the plot for the game but it is safe to assume it has something to do with a character from Modern Warfare 2, Simon “Ghost” Riley.
This game is supposed to be demoed along with the new Xbox console in a couple of weeks and is supposed to hit stores on November 5th. It is also available for pre-order with various retailers such as Amazon, GameStop and Best Buy.
The game has been confirmed for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. But, we would expect the game to be available for the Xbox 720 and the Playstation 4 as well.
Stay tuned for any updates.
