Microsoft finally launched the Xbox 720 amidst much fanfare. Christened Xbox One, the next generation gaming console comes with an array of media abilities explaining which took up the majority of the launch proceedings. The event ended with the announcement of Call of Duty: Ghosts, the new version that will debut with the Xbox 720. That’s not all, for Microsoft also mentioned the game will be exclusive to the latest Xbox version, which means even users of the Xbox 360 might not have access to the Ghosts, at least not for the initial period. This comes with the usual norm for Call of Duty games where its Microsoft’s consoles that enjoy preference over any other gaming console available in the market. Needless to say, all of this is a ploy to get more attracted towards the latest Xbox One.
Coming back to the game, developers of the Call of Duty: Ghosts Infinity Ward has developed a new engine to make the best of the new Xbox One’s capabilities. As a result, the characters as well as the surroundings are more life-like and natural than ever before. Stephen Gaghan who has written “Traffic” and is also the writer/director of “Syriana” has written the story for Ghosts. The characters have been imbibed with more of emotional content. The Ghosts are in fact elite soldiers who fight to save their country after the mass event that starts the game. There is also a dog involved that does its bit by sniffing out the bombs.
Also, a nice aspect of the game is that the map never remains the same for long. There are natural events like earthquakes, floods or even man made explosions and such that keep altering the landscape. The game is best played in multiplayer mode though it’s not known how many players the new Xbox One will be able to support. Call of Duty: Ghosts releases 5th November, 2013. The Xbox One might launch before that or on the same day itself.
