MySpace Has an Increased 50 Million Visitor Rate

January 16, 2015 By Lori David Leave a Comment

myspacevistors Everyone who owns a smartphone or a laptop or a tablet or any Internet accessible gadget checks for daily updates on social websites.MySpace has an increased 50 million visitor rate. Latest surveys show that MySpace has considerably expanded its visitors rate by more than 500 percent.

Besides the enormous growth in viewers, MySpace has also reached 30 million views concerning various videos. One can easily say that November was the highlight of the year regarding MySpace viewer growth. In that month, besides the huge video viewer growth, this social site has gained more than 50 million users. These high numbers come only from the United States.

The considerably increased viewer rate is due to Thursday Throwback. This event allows people to search for photos to post on Instagram using the hash-tag #TBT. Users are looking for rather old digital images that date back to 2000. The website was originally conceived as a photo-sharing platform. Nowadays, it is addressing to people who get nostalgic about their younger years.

Tim Vanderhook, MySpace’s CEO admitted that the majority of users do not check their personal accounts at such a frequent rate. Most people verify their accounts one a week, even once per month. Most frequent users are aged between 17 to 25 years old with hobbies such as music, games or any sort of entertainment. Because of that, the previously mentioned age category still log on every day to take advantage of the site’s entertainment offers.

However, more than 400 email addresses are registered into the site’s database only on American ground. MySpace is considered quite a veteran by newer social media sites. The website was founded in 2003 and was an instant success in America. Two years later, it was sold to News Corp.

From that moment on, the website’s popularity declined and was sold once more to Specific Media. The website’s original value was estimated about 600 million dollars, but it was last sold for 35 million dollars.

Despite the huge number of users, the site is not as popular as other recent social sites. Some say that the cause of that lack is due to the advertisements the developers publish on the site.

These official numbers are not quite up-to-date but they can still be used to change the present marketing tactic. Taking Facebook’s numbers of 200 million visitors, MySpace could make a change of scenery and use this increase to boom itself back on the media market.
