Cola is the perfect type of application for people who find it difficult to organize – their time or others’ – especially when it comes to setting an hour or place for a meeting. Instead of going through all the hassle of an entire conversation just to settle this kind of details, Cola writes it all down for you and makes it easy for your partner to reply with just a tap. And the Cola app has officially been launched for iOS now.
Cola is a startup business, but their ideas are actually pretty clever and truly make communication easier; especially when more than just you and one other person are involved. Their app has been in a beta stage since November and it would seem that it is now available for release.
In essence, you could say Cola is a texting app, very similar to iOS’ messaging app on first look. However, it distinguishes itself through the Bubble feature right away. Say, for example, you wanted to settle a time for your meeting with a friend. As long as he has the app too, you can send him a Bubble instead of a written text with three different times for him or her to pick from. Once he decides which of the variants you sent him is the best one, he can just tap it, and you’ll nearly instantly see it on your screen.
Similarly, you can do the same with larger groups of people and instead of having to reply to 6 people via text or calls, you can just find a time that is unanimous for all of the attendees and that’s that. To make things even easier, Cola includes a personal planner for you where you can note your assignments and appointments for the week. Having your entire week’s plan ahead of you will make it easier for you to select an appropriate time for any other meeting that may come up.
Not to mention that there are a fair few situations when knowing where your friends are is handy. The tabs you keep on what all of your friends using Cola – if they have approved that level of stalking – will allow you to look at exactly where they are at the time you’re using the app, as well as what the estimated time of arrival may be.
The Cola app is – at the moment at least – entirely free. However, the company announced at one point that they plan to add other features in the future that work on a premium purchase-based method.
